Thomas’s roots in fitness began as a junior high school wrestler and runner in. Thomas is an exercise specialist, engineer, and Industrial Designer. He is the author of the book, "Innermatrix Owners Manual", and is the creator / producer of the Innermatrix™ Fitness Videos. He was also the president of Innermatrix™ Fitness Productions, llc. from 1997-2006.
At 18, he became a personal trainer and placed 1st and 2nd place in two weight categories in the first ever National Nautilus Championship in 1985. He was both a varsity college wrestler and gymnast, and has also trained in mixed martial arts (MMA), and Combat arts since 1994.
In college, he studied engineering and industrial design and earned an I.D.S.A. certified B.I.D. in Industrial Design from Syracuse University in 1990, where he also designed and engineered an exercise machine, for his graduate level 5th year thesis project. Thomas holds two fitness patents, and many fitness patents pending. His latest fitness equipment is utilized and developed at Phrog Fitness Studio™ in Princeton.
His experience includes fitness instruction at 5 leading fitness centers and training studios, and a rehabilitation coach and recreational therapist, at the New York State University Hospital in Syracuse.
Thomas has held many Personal Training Certifications over his 26 years of experience as a personal trainer, and was also accepted to The United States Marine Corp., Aviation Officers Candidate School in 1993.
He was Vice President of Marketing and Development of Ripzone™ U.S.A. Sports 1997-1999, and the Interim Director of Marketing at Etonic™ Athletic Footwear in 1999. He has been a featured columnist in “Exercise for Men Only” and “Stay Fit” magazines and other fitness publications. Thomas was a member of The American Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (A.A.H.P.E.R.D.), The American Association of Health Education (A.A.H.E) and the American Association for Active Lifestyles and Fitness (A.A.A.L.F.) Thomas created the PHROG Advanced Master Trainer Certification September 2009.

When not at Phrog™ Thomas spends most of his time with his 15 year old daughter, reading about Politics and economics, riding his motorcycle, writing, and martial arts training. He is also working on a masters degree in diplomacy and international commerce, and on his second book concerning fitness biomechanics.
